Assoc. Prof. Dr. Esra Yiğit

Esra Yiğit, who graduated from Istanbul University Faculty of Law, completed her master’s degree with the thesis named “Monitoring and Surveillance of Internet and E-mail Use in the Workplace” and her obtained PhD degree with the thesis named “Temporary Employment Relationship Through Private Employment Offices” at the same Faculty.

In 2012, she started to work as a research assistant at Turkish-German University Faculty of Law. In 2023 she has obtained the title of Associate Professor at the same University. She is currently working as the Head of the Department of Labor and Social Security Law as an assistant professor at Turkish-German University Faculty of Law.

She has articles on Individual Labor Law, Collective Labor Law and Social Security Law. In addition to her book titled “Individual Labor Law Lessons” she wrote with Ömer Ekmekçi, her book “Protection of Workers’ Personal Data” is published in 2022.

Esra, who has been awarded the academic scholarships of the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) many times and has carried out research activities in Germany, is fluent in English and German. Her main publications are as follows:
